
The federal government has approved a 30% Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) for government employees from 1st July 2025. This decision brings major financial relief to thousands of government workers across Pakistan.
According to an official notification from the Ministry of Finance, this allowance will be given to all employees from BPS-1 to BPS-22 who were already receiving DRA earlier. The increase will be based on their basic pay as of 30th June 2022.
This decision has been approved by the President of Pakistan and was officially released on 4th July 2025. It continues the earlier allowances granted in the years 2022 and 2021.

For those hired later or promoted after June 2022, the allowance will be calculated according to their pay scale on 30-06-2022.
