According to the new policy:

All federal government employees from BPS 1 to 22 are eligible.

Employees must have worked in the same Ministry/Division for at least 6 months to get performance-based honorarium.

Types of Honorarium in 2025 Policy
There are three types of honorarium:
1. Ordinary Honorarium

Given to all employees (BPS 1-22).

Amount: Equal to one basic pay.

Approved by: Principal Accounting Officer (PAO).
2. Performance Honorarium

Based on outstanding performance during the financial year.

Given to up to 25% of employees: Equal to one month’s basic pay.

Additional 10% of employees may get up to two months’ basic pay.

3. Budget Honorarium

Important Conditions

No cash payment – everything will be shown in the payroll.

Tax will be applied as per monetization rules.

Employees cannot receive more than one type of honorarium.

No honorarium for Eid, Christmas, or any other religious festival.

Ordinary & Performance honorarium cannot be paid before 1st May each year.
When Will Employees Receive Honorarium?
Honorarium will be granted at the end of the financial year, after 1st May, depending on approval from the concerned authority.
