To manage large crowds and processions during Muharram, over 1,000 Rescue Posts will be set up at key locations. These posts will act as fast-response units for any medical or fire-related issues.

For this special Muharram duty, Rescue 1122 has deployed:

  • 815 ambulances
  • 2,166 motorbikes
  • 316 fire and rescue vehicles

These vehicles will be stationed in sensitive areas to reduce response time. Rescuers will be fully equipped with medical kits, fire extinguishers, and safety tools.

Citizens are advised to call the Rescue Helpline 1122 in case of any emergency. The Punjab government has urged the public to cooperate with the emergency staff and avoid blocking roads during processions.

This special plan by the Punjab government shows its full commitment to protect lives and maintain peace during religious events. Rescue 1122 teams are ready to serve with their mission: “Saving Lives & Promoting Safety.”
