BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid Pays Tribute to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto on Her 72nd Birthday. On the 72nd birthday of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, a special cake-cutting ceremony was held by the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The event was attended by BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid, who paid rich tribute to the great leader and spoke to the BISP staff with passion and emotion.
In her speech, Senator Rubina Khalid said,
“We must move forward with the vision, mission, and bravery of Shaheed Bibi. President Asif Ali Zardari made us proud by launching the Benazir Hunarmand Program, which is turning her dream into reality.”
She added that this new skills program will help deserving women across Pakistan. It will bring confidence, remove fear from their hearts, and help them believe that no injustice will happen to them again. She clearly said that the main goal of the BISP family is to serve poor and deserving women.

The event also featured speeches by Sardar Azmat, President of BISP Officers Association, and Sardar Shiraz, President of All Pakistan BISP Employees Welfare Association. Both leaders praised Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s services and the current leadership’s efforts to continue her legacy.

At the end of the ceremony, Senator Rubina Khalid cut the birthday cake of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto with BISP staff. The atmosphere was filled with respect and love for the former Prime Minister who gave her life for the people of Pakistan.
